## How billing works
- Past the monthly quota, events are still stored but hidden until you upgrade; there is never a surprise bill.
- Past twice the quota, new events are refused until the next month.
- Pro can opt into extra events at $6 per million, up to a monthly cap you set.
- Scale can opt into extra events at $4 per million, up to a monthly cap you set.
- Longer raw retention: $10 a year per 100 million events.
- Starter has a 30-day trial; Free needs no card.
- If a payment fails, the plan keeps running for 7 days while the card is retried.
- Annual billing costs 10 months and covers 12.
- The first payment of a new plan is refundable within 14 days.
